Yougen Li is a senior research biochemist at DuPont Central Research and Development in Wilmington Delaware. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering from Cornell University in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, he was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Frances Arnold Lab at the California Institute of Technology. Dr. Li has published many journal articles in Nature Biotechnology, Nature Materials and etc. He filed many patent applications, among which one was granted and the other licensed.
Li’s research interest lies in engineering enzymes and metabolism pathway to produce chemicals such as biofuel. Li is also dedicated to understanding protein and metabolism pathway design principles.
