Dr. Zaher K. Otrock M.D. is a Clinical Pathologist and researcher who received his medical degree and residency training at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUB-MC). After he completed his medical education in 2003, he worked for four years as a post-doctoral research fellow with the Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Internal Medicine at AUB-MC. He then joined the Clinical Pathology residency program in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at AUB-MC and graduated in 2011. This was followed by an additional year of post-doctoral research at AUB-MC, and since July 2012 he is doing his research fellowship at Taussig Cancer Institute at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr Otrock has authored over 100 peer-review scientific publications and book chapters. His research is focused on hematological malignancies, stem cell transplantation, thrombophilia and angiogenesis. His research was also presented in many national and international conferences including the American Society of Hematology (ASH), European Hematology Association (EHA), and European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT). He is a reviewer and member of editorial boards of many medical journals. In addition to his research awards, Dr Otrock is member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society
