Dr. Wang got his PhD from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 2003. Ever since then, Dr. Wang has been working at the University of Pennsylvania, first as a postdoctrate, then research associate, and now as a research assistant professor (Jan 2009- Present). He was honoured as distinguished Reviewer for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, Internal Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine in the year 2011.
Dr. Wang's research interest has been focused on signal processing for functional neuroimaging, neuroimaging in drug addiction, and MR image reconstruction. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal papers
