Biography
Eiichi Suehiro MD,PhD is assistant professor of Neurosurgery at Yamaguchi University School of Medicine. He attended Medical School at Yamaguchi University from 1990-1996. He completed a graduate program and obtained a Ph.D. on neuroscience at Yamaguchi University in 1999. He studied pathophysiology of traumatic axonal injury (TAI) at Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University from 1999-2001. He was appointed as assistant professor of Neurosurgery at Yamaguchi University from 2003. His research has focused on the effects of hypothermia for traumatic brain injury, neuromonitoring, neurocritical care, and epidemiology of neurotrauma. He has published those results in journals and is a reviewer for some journals. He is a recipient of the 2005 Makino Award in the Japan Society of Neurotraumatology and the 2011 Encouragement prize award of the Japan society of neurosurgical emergency.
