About the Journal

Unlike artificial insemination wherein the sperm is introduced into uterus, in IVF, the sperm and egg are fertilized outside the uterus in laboratory conditions. The fertilized egg is then introduced into woman’s uterus. Most often, IVF is not the first treatment suggested for infertility because of its complex nature and costs involved in it.

Recent advances and latest techniques in IVF treatment are enabling to achieve high success rates and minimizing the chances of multiple pregnancies and birth defects. The refinements are being done in every step of IVF i.e., ovarian stimulation, collection of sperm, fertilization, embryo development in lab conditions and introduction of embryo into uterus.
