About the Journal

Overview

Healthy Aging Research is an open access journal that operates with a single-blind peer review policy. It publishes articles on recent advances in the understanding of the processes responsible for and associated with issues and diseases that comes along with aging. Dissemination and implementation of new knowledge on aging, in medical and clinical aspects, will have a significant impact on quality of life and the treatment of diseases and hence improving the health and aging. The journal launched in December 2012. Healthy Aging Research is indexed by Google Scholar and Thomson Reuters' Emerging Sources Citation Index.

Aims and Scope

Healthy Aging Research focuses on elucidating both normal and pathogenic mechanisms associated with aging, clinical trials of novel drugs and anti-aging agents, and imaging of organs, structures and tumors. It also focuses on treating and preventing age-associated diseases such as stroke, myocardial infarction, cancer, arthritis, cataracts, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, hypertension and Alzheimer's disease, to ultimately reduce morbidity and mortality.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to public health, drug development, oncology, neurology, internal medicine, respiratory medicine, radiology, nuclear medicine, age-related diseases, surgery, nursing, epidemiology, rehabilitation, critical care medicine, physiology, psychology and ophthalmology.

Authors can submit their manuscripts through offline and online modes, as feasible.
