Prior to the epidemic that started in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, nothing was known about this novel virus or illness. Over 200 virus species have been found by scientists to be capable of infecting people. Every year, new viruses are found. Some of them are pathogenic, as the virus that causes COVID-19, SARS-CoV2.Malware is unable to procreate independently. Rather, for reproduction, they rely on a host cell. Once inside the body (the mouth, nose, or eyes in the case of coronavirus), a virus binds to a host cell and inserts its genetic instructions. After that, the virus may take over the operations of the host cell to generate the elements required for it to replicate itself. These parts come together to form new viruses that eventually break off of their host cell and infect other cells—either in the same host or in a different one. Because SARS-CoV-2 is an enclosed virus, it has an exterior layer called a lipid membrane, which resembles fat. The virus can bind because of the protein spikes coating its envelope. To lipid membrane receptors on the host cell, resulting in infection and occasionally disease. The foods you consume have a major impact on your immunity and general health.
