It is with great delight to introduce you the Journal of Phonetics & Audiology, the journal aiming to publish works of great distinction in the area of phonetics and audiology and provide open access to articles using this platform.
Audiology studies hearing, balance, and related disorders, while phonetics mainly studies the sounds of human speech. They are both branches of science, and research on audiology and phonetics as well as their interconnection can have profound impact on human life. It is the intention of this journal to bring broader information to the readers in a convenient way, to meet the expectation of academicians, researchers, medical practitioners, students, and manufacturers for the latest advance in the field.
There’s been thriving ongoing research on hearing dysfunction and perception, balance dysfunction, impairment in hearing, causes of delayed language development and its management, as well as their genetic and environmental factors. The journal welcomes papers with fundamental or practical research, as well as interesting case studies and frontier investigation with new technologies. Fundamental research can provide foundation for clinical application, specific cases can shred insight into our fields, and new technology may lead the way to move us forward. Whether it’s prestigious, popular or limited application, this journal provides an ideal platform for exchange of ideas.
