Introduction

Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (ISSN: 2167-0412) is a scientific journal that includes a wide range of fields in its discipline and reports about the usage of plants for fragrance and medicinal uses during the modern times by identifying the therapeutic ingredients in plants that play a crucial role [1].

I am pleased to announce that, all issues of volume 8 were published online well within the time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online during the year of 2019.

Scope

Scope of the Journal includes Aromatic Compounds, Aromatic Crops, Aromatic Flowers, Aromatic Plants, Aromatic Shrubs, Aromatics, Common Medicinal Plants, Fragrant Plants, Hawaiian Medicinal Plants, Healing Herbs, Healing Plants, Herbal Monograph, Herbs Side Effects, Herbs Toxicity, History of Medicinal Plants, Medicinal Herbs, Medicinal Plants, Medicinal Plants List, Native American Medicinal Plants, Plant Medicine, Plant Spirit Medicine and Psychoactive Herb.

Medicinal & Aromatic Plants also encourage publication from the key aspects of research in clinical applications of herbs and natural products in medicine, including studies of herb-drug interactions and other aspects of the safety of herbal medicines, innovative studies on efficacy, safety, quality and mechanisms of action of specified plant extracts, phytopharmaceuticals and their isolated constituents, toxicological studies of specified herbal medicinal products, herbal preparations and purified compounds which have a defined and consistent quality assuring reproducible pharmacological activity.

Indexing

The Journals aims to aim of motivating students and personnel in Botany and Phytochemistry Research and Development. All published articles of this journal are included in the indexing and abstracting coverage of CAS Source Index (CASSI), Google Scholar, Open J Gate, Genamics JournalSeek, Academic Keys, Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture (AGORA), RefSeek, Hamdard University, EBSCO A-Z, OCLC- World Cat and the Journal Impact Factor was 1.57.

Year 2019

During the calendar year 2019, Medicinal & Aromatic Plants received a total of 26 papers, out of which few articles were rejected in the preliminary screening due to plagiarism or being out of the format and peer review process. In Volume 8, a total of 16 articles were published from authors all around the world. Average publication lag time of an article was further reduced to 2-3 weeks. We have also released Press releases on the specific topic related to the journal scope and on our Editorial Board Members.

Social Media

Social media is a great, way to reach many scientific personalities. Social media allows people to freely interact with others and offers multiple ways to market our journal. We strive to improve readers for the published article in various social media platforms like Twitter, Linked in by postings, etc. Association with Longdom group has increased Readership Metrics (By Google Analytics) of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants Journal which can be accessed at Google Analytics Metrics for the Medicinal & Aromatic Plants [2].

Conclusion

I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Editorial Board Members during the final editing of articles published and the support rendered by them in bringing out issues of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants in time. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, the office bearers for their support in bringing out yet another volume of MAP and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 9 of MAP in scheduled time.
