Intellectual property refers to intangible assets created by the human intellect, such as inventions, artistic works, brand names, and trade secrets. This study explores the importance of intellectual property, its various forms, challenges and opportunities it presents in the digital age.

Understanding intellectual property

Intellectual property encompasses several categories, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Patents protect inventions, providing exclusive rights to their creators for a limited period. Copyrights safeguard original works of authorship, such as literature, music, films, and software.
