Journal of Leukemia (JLU), a broad-based journal was founded on two key tenets: To publish the most exciting researches with respect to the subjects of Leukemia. Secondly, to provide a rapid turnaround time possible for reviewing and publishing and to disseminate the articles freely for research, teaching and reference purposes.
I am pleased to mention that during the year 2019, all issues of volume 7 were published online well within the time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online. JLU is an open access publication model that enables the dissemination of research articles to the global community without restriction usually through the internet. Thus, all articles published under Open Access can be accessed by anyone with internet connection. Journal of Leukemia (JLU) strongly supports the Open Access initiative. Abstracts and full texts (HTML, PDF and XML format) of all articles published by Epilepsy Journal (JLU) are freely accessible to everyone immediately after publication.
During the calendar year 2019, JLU received a total of 13 papers, out of which 2 articles were rejected in the preliminary screening due to plagiarism or being out of the format. During 2019 around 11 articles were subjected to the peer-review process and 11 of those were accepted. In the 7 issues of Volume 11 published during the year 2019, a total of 11 articles were published of which, 50 % articles were by foreign authors. A total of 140 research scientists from India and abroad reviewed the 11 articles published in volume 8. Average publication lag time of an article was further reduced to 6-8 months.
I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Dr Tadeusz Robak during the final editing of articles published and the support rendered by the editorial assistant, Mr Elizabeth Scott Raveche in bringing out issues of JLU in time. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the authors, reviewers, the publisher, the advisory and the editorial board of JLU, the office bearers and staff of JLU secretariat for their support in bringing out yet another volume of JLU and look forward to their unrelenting support to bring out the Volume 8 of JLU in scheduled time.
