Advances in Computers, Internet technology, analytical/simulation and interface software are rapidly and dramatically changing the scenarios of biological research. Theoretical and computational biology has existed for decades on the "tassel" of biological science/ technologies. However, within just diminutive periods, the deluge of new biological data fashioned by genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and many more OMICS efforts and, by inevitability, the application of computers to the analysis of this OMICS data, has begun to influence every single aspect of the biological sciences/technologies. The line of investigation that strictly followed in the laboratory now starts at the computer, as researchers explore databases for information that might suggest novel premise, hypothesis and even more. If we regard the last few years as the time of OMICS and the future will follow the same, will be not and hyperbola, as we know that the improvements in quality and quantity of both personal and supercomputers have become easy to available to scientists across all disciplines.

OMICS is rapidly evolving scientific discipline have an approach to apply the Informatics to the managing the biological data, but this definition is not enough to describe the arena of OMICS. Nowadays, it seems almost impractical for even the most obsessive researcher to continue on top of necessary information in the field without the assistance of computational tools, and the Internet has made it possible for users at various locations. Here, it is important to discuss that the research in OMICS field only accelerates by more and more accurate and high class interpretative analysis. To provide such information, it requires high-quality periodicals or journals more than 10,000 journal are running now worldwide, included 6650 journals in the science citation index expanded, which is a measure of quality of Journal. Most of the quality journals are paid a very few journal are available as free access. The coming day is coming with new journal and creating a huge archive of such information. The most important concern about these quality journals requires payment ranging from 20 to 50 $ per view. It is critical for the scientists working at under developing countries. They could not afford to view the full-text article due to its exorbitant cost. To resolve such issues, there is a need to publish high quality and quantity research papers and manuscripts in open access journals. The recent tends to suggest the open-access journals have jumped heavily in Journal’s Impact Factors or Journal’s citation reports. It doesn’t mean that all Open access journals having high-quality papers it reflects that the citations of the papers are more because of free availability. Its researchers and the editorial members only can assure the quality of manuscripts, and this will be a real service of science.

The Journal of Proteomics and Bioinformatics, along OMICS publishing group, is serving the scientific community by publishing the high-quality manuscripts, case reports and reviews, in a remarkable period of time. The relevance of this journal in the respective subject reflected by the growth of the journal citation report, and recently it has been listed in the science citation index expanded list. It is really honor to share that the number of citation from this journal is growing exponentially.

I am wishing warm, cheerful, healthy, and prosperous New Year to all the readers, contributors, and publishing team of the Journal.
