School psychology plays a important role in encouraging the academic, social, and emotional development of students. As educational environments become increasingly complex, the need for effective tools and strategies to support student wellbeing has never been greater. One such innovative approach is the integration of computer vision technology in school psychology. Computer vision, a field of artificial intelligence that enables machines to interpret and understand visual information from the world, has the potential to transform how school psychologists assess, monitor, and support students. This article explores the intersection of school psychology and computer vision, examining how this technology can enhance understanding, intervention, and overall student outcomes.
Understanding school psychology
School psychology is a specialized field that focuses on the mental health and educational needs of students.
