The incorporation of these natural ingredients into cosmetics and personal care items has not only revolutionized the industry but also raised important questions about sustainability, efficacy, and the socio-economic impacts on communities involved in their cultivation and harvest.

Historically, medicinal and aromatic plants have been used in various cultures for their healing properties and aromatic benefits.
