Its evolution has been driven by remarkable technological advancements, such as next-generation sequencing, CRISPR gene editing, and sophisticated imaging techniques. These innovations have transformed our understanding of disease mechanisms and opened up new avenues for diagnosis and treatment.

For instance, the Human Genome Project, completed in 2003, has paved the way for personalized medicine. By identifying genetic variations linked to specific diseases, healthcare providers can tailor treatments to individual patients, increasing efficacy and minimizing side effects.
