Global Surveillance

Global mass surveillance refers to the mass surveillance of whole populations across national borders. Its roots can be traced back to the middle of the twentieth century when the UK, USA Agreement was together sanctioned by the United Kingdom and the United States, which later extended to Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to make the current Five Eyes union. The union created participation plans with a few outsider countries. In the end, this brought about the foundation of a worldwide reconnaissance organize, code-named ECHELON. Its existence, be that as it may, was not generally recognized by governments and the mainstream press until the worldwide observation divulgences by Edward Snowden triggered a discussion about the privilege to privacy in the Digital Age.
