Polymer Engineering

Polymer engineering is a field of engineering that designs, modifies and analyses polymer materials. It covers aspects of the petrochemical industry, polymerization, properties, structure and characterization of polymers, compounding and processing of polymers and description of major polymers, structure property relations and applications. Polymer engineering is the study of methods and technique for efficient production and use of polymers. Some examples of polymers are plastics, rubber, resins and fibers.
