Unlike sleep quantity, sleep quality refers to how well you sleep. For adults, good quality sleep means that you typically fall asleep in 30 minutes or less, sleep soundly through the night with no more than one awakening, and drift back to sleep within 20 minutes if you do wake up. To maximize the health benefits, aim to spend at least 85 percent of your time in bed asleep. The most precise way to analyze your sleep is to use polysomnography, complicated technology found in sleep clinics. The Dreem headband offers the same level of precision as polysomnography in a lighter, more comfortable format, plus you can use it from home!
