Cockroaches were collected from different sites in Urmia city in the northwest of Iran. It deals with the morphologically identification of indoor cockroaches, which were collected from urban regions of Urmia. The specimens were transferred to the laboratory in several batches. Morphological identification of the collected specimens was done employing routine morphological keys for cockroaches. Totally, 177 specimens were collected and identified as five species into four genera. Blattella germanica was more prevalent species (50%) and Supella longipalpa was the lowest with 4%. Blatta lateralis is reported for the first time from the region. Based on these data, it seems that the pattern of cockroach species in human dwelling is differing in this region. Therefore, more studies can be recommended to identify their role in public health in northwest on country.
