Abstract :

The aim of this study was to compare students' time perception with learning disabilities (LD) and normal children. Time perception is a field of study in psychology, cognitive linguistics, and neuroscience Which refers to the mental experience of life: the perception of time It makes sense to each person in terms of the distance between events or the length of a particular event. The time interval between two consecutive events in the human brain is understood to be of a certain length Perception of different people from a fixed time can be obtained by Persian time perception test, time perception and time reconstruction delay of Massachusetts University and Berkeley University. Therefore, in this study, 24 LD children were evaluated based on DSM-5 evaluation. Of these, 8 dyslexics, 8 dyslexics and 8 individuals with arithmetic failure as the main group and 24 normal children as the control group in the age range of 9 to 12 years and the third to fifth grade of elementary school were examined by test. The scores of the findings of the two groups were compared with each other. The results show that LD children have a significant reduction in the frequency of total responses compared to normal children. In terms of time perception, it indicates the perceptual delay and lack of attention to detail, the general perception of time. This difference in time perception in scientific studies helps us to better understand the mechanism of how time is perceived
