Aim: This study was performed to compare the clinical outcomes of using hyaluronic acid versus radiesse for reconstruction of interdental papilla at the aesthetic zone. Methods: This study was designed as a randomized controlled clinical trial that carried out on patients with 40 interdental papillae loss or defects at one or several areas in the anterior maxillary region the patients were randomly assigned as a split out design into two groups by using flipping of a coin. Group I: 20 sites were injected with hyaluronic acid (control group). Group II: 20 sites were injected with calcium hydroxyl appetite (radiesse) (tested group). Results: For Hyaluronic acid group, a significant reduction resulted after the 2 weeks followed by nonsignificant reduction at the 3 and 6 months but, For radiesse filler group, significant reduction resulted after the 2 weeks followed by insignificant reduction at the 3 and 6 months followed by Conclusion: The use of hyaluronic acid gel for treatment of interdental papillary deficiency was effective more than the injectable hydroxyapatite. injectable calcium hydroxyl appetite showed higher papillary stability and lower tendency for recurrence after six months but, it showed lower patient satisfaction while injection because the filler need to be injected deep . So that, it might serve as an important role in reconstruction of interdental papillae. Both treatment modalities showed positive effects and may be used as a non-invasive technique for reconstruction of interdental papillae.
