Everyone knows that eyes and teeth are closely connected. We can consider it under two different points of view. The first, simply functional and mechanical, shows that several dental diseases, such as wrong occlusions, can even produce serious dysfunctions to the eyes movements.Therefore, a perfect dental analysis and a correct occlusal rehabilitation plan allow to solve many problems that seem to be only of the eyes. However, in the last years, is the second point of view that seems to be much more important and decisive in our life: the emotional relationship between eyes and smile.We have to know that a beautiful face catches our attention after 0.15 seconds only. But if someone also smiles at us, our gaze immediately moves towards the smile. This is the reason why our patients come into our offices not only to solve their dental diseases, but more and more to improve just their aesthetics through a perfect dazzling, shining and bright SMILE.Today we have many devices that allow us to achieve a real rejuvenation of our patients by less and less invasive way, often without external pharmacological substances.We know very well that the restoration of the harmony, shape and aesthetics, not only of the eyes but also of the full face, is the worthy frame of a beautiful aesthetic-functional dental work. So, by the latest updates in modern dentistry we know not only that we can offer treatments excellent, highly aesthetic, less or not at all invasive, cost-effective, functional, repairable and reversible, but also very well that only a closer partnership between several specialists, aesthetically trained, can achieve a pleasant, natural and perfect outcome for our patients.
Fabrizio Bonucci MD, is a Surgeon Doctor and Dental Practitioner; Aesthetic Medicine Doctor. He has got his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1985, Sapienza University of Rome and specialization in Surgery of Digestive System and Surgical Digestive Endoscopy in 1988 from Sapienza University of Rome. He has completed Master in Facial Aesthetic Medicine, SIMEO, Rome in 2014.
