Keynote: Gynecol Obstet
Over the past few decades, there has been a trend to delay pregnancy and childbearing. The advancement in contraceptive methods and social acceptability has supported this trend and as a result childbearing age has been delayed from the 20ΓΆΒ?Β?s to the 30ΓΆΒ?Β?s and early 40ΓΆΒ?Β?s. In this seminar, I will discuss several conditions and scenarios that would arise as result of delaying fertility such as fibroids and endometriosis, their impact on fertility and whether surgical intervention would improve outcome. I will also address the assessment of ovarian reserve as well the timing and technology for fertility preservation
