This research examines Giant African Land Snail (GALS) Production as Animal Protein substitute in Nigeria. By evaluating the research on giant African land snail production as animal protein substitute is a descriptive synthesis to explore animal protein in Nigeria, this research synthesis contributes to the discussion of available protein sources in Nigeria. In addition, the synthesis describes GALS can be used as substitute for protein, explains why proteins from giant African land snails is most suitable for certain nutritional diets, and suggests how the results of the study might be used to inform the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in Nigeria about proteins from GALS. A comprehensive definition of the components and indicators that characterize proteins is provided. Through this synthesis, other sources of animal proteins were analyzed. The findings are presented along with related policy implications.
