Background: Health promotion lifestyle consists of six aspects including physical activity, nutrition, health responsibility, spiritual growth, interpersonal relations and stress management. This lifestyle promotes health and welfare, induces satisfaction, self-persuasion and self-improvement. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the Health promotion lifestyle profile and socio-demographic properties among women attended in health centers of Ahvaz, Iran in may-April, 2016. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on women attended in health centers of Ahvaz, Iran. A census sample of 150 subjects completed a questionnaire. Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile 2 (HPLP2) was used in order to measure health promoting lifestyle behavior. The validity and reliability of questionnaire have been confirmed before. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests in SPSS. Findings: Mean age of participants was 29.6�±7.8 years. Most of women had a normal average of BMI. The results showed that 3.8% of women had a bad quality of life, 77.7% had a moderate lifestyle and 18.5% had a good health promotion quality of life. Socio-demographic properties were determined. Conclusion: According to our findings, the majority of women had a moderate level of health related quality of life, Regards to this subject that health related quality of life of mothers effect on future health behavior of their children, designing and performing a systematic counseling program in health centers be suggested.
