Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from many tissues have the abilities to regulate the immune system. In addition to "supervising" cells of the innate immune system, MSCs have also been shown to have anti-microbial properties. This presentation will introduce a new type of MSCs, menstrual blood derived stem cells (MenSCs), discuss the mechanisms that underlie MSC/immune cell interactions, and exploit the advantage of the regulatory abilities of MSCs to treat infectious diseases. cxiang@zju.edu.cn
