Abstract :

Ganoderma linzhi (G. linzhi) belongs to genus of polypore mushrooms which contain rich polysaccharides valuable for nutrition and positive medicinal effects. In this presentation, we will report our recent research progress on mutagenesis and quality assessment of Ganoderma Linzhi. First, we have achieved an effective and convenient approach to quantitative assessment of the total polysaccharides in G. lucidum mycelia by virtue of infrared spectroscopy. Second, we have obtained a variety of mutants by using low-temperature plasma technique which gave ride improved production of polysaccharides. These results have been published in Scientific Reports and Plos One.
