Abstract :

Transdermal Delivery is an alternative way of drug administration that made an important contribution to medical practice. Transdermal drug delivery systems have been around for decades, however, there is still the limited number of transdermal patches on the market. Only a narrow range of molecules can currently be delivered transdermally using available technologies. The last generation of transdermal drug delivery systems such as microneedle technology looks promising to solve these long-standing limitations and bring more patches to the medical field.
