Background: Dissociation disorder is characterized by an alteration of subjective experiences in perceptual, affective, memory, and identity functions in response to stress. Psychosocial issues such as childhood trauma, dysfunctional family environment, socio-economic status, etc., play a significant role in the development and maintenance of dissociative symptomatology. Aim: This study is planned to explore psychosocial determinants among adolescents with dissociative disorder who registered in child guidance clinic. Methodology: The sample consisted of 20 adolescents from 12 to 17 years of age with a diagnosis of dissociative disorder. Assessments of psychosocial determinants included the following tests for psychological and social issues: semi structured for socio-demographic and clinical details, Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview for Children and Adolescents (MINIKID) and family environment scale. This study was conducted between November 2016 and April 2017 at the Psychiatric Department of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. Results: The mean age of the participants was 15.4 years. Majority of participants were female. Their education ranged from 7th to 11th grade. Results of this study will be discussed in detail at the time of presentation. Conclusion: Stable or frequent co-occurrence of dysfunctional or unfavorable family environment and other psychosocial issues can complicate dissociative symptomatology
