Aim: I have achieved promising findings from qualitative case studies using a non-pharmacological approach. I would like to obtain more objective measurements of my results and contribute to the understanding of neuroplasticity. Therefore, I am seeking scientific partners for ground research on neurodegenerative dynamics. Methods: I have worked with two elderly 3rd stage Parkinson’s disease cases and a young chronic psychosis case. A combination of touch and talk therapy was applied. Results: In the case of Parkinson’s disease, a reduction of negative mood and anxiety typical for the patient and visibly better mobility was observed. Conclusion: The preliminary case study results indicate that neuroplasticity can be achieved even in old age and an advanced stage of a neurodegenerative disease. Further development of non-pharmacological interventions in seemingly incurable conditions requires neuro-imagining tools. Such a research can provide bases for scientists working on the mechanisms of neuroplasticity. Having access to brain images before and after applying therapeutic methods, researchers could better understand the dynamics of neurological repair. This is relevant for prevention.
Katarzyna Gajewska started to work on severe cases with no drugs approach in 2022 after an 8 year successful career as a Swedish massage practitioner and body mind counsellor. She had also worked as an academic researcher using qualitative methods in social science beforehand. Currently, she is seeking for clients and scientific collaborators to advance her research and provide them hypotheses for their research.
