Aortopulmonary window (APW) is a rarely finding in pediatrics echocardiography. APW is nothing more than simple congenital heart defect (<1% all congenital heart defects) manifested in a hole connecting the major artery: Aorta (Aocarrying blood from the heart to the body) and Pulmonary Artery (PA-taking blood from the heart to the lungs). APW may occur with or without other heart defect. Presented patients had had also interrupted aortic arch (IAA, Type A). Patient diseases were detected very early- during the first days of life . In his 9th day of life he had been undergoing aortic arch plasty and closure of the APW. Surgery procedure and postoperative period was process without any complication. Patients with generally good conditions having prescription of taking medication (Aspirine 2Ã?Â?3 mg; Vit. A+D3 1Ã?Â?2 drop ) were sent home. Control visit in cardiac clinic showed good surgical results.
