Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the salivary parameters in children undergoing dental treatment. Methods: Total of 180 children undergoing dental treatment in routine dental setting with applying behavior management any medical problems was excluded in this study. Results: Showed that salivary has an affect on the fear and anxiety when comparing cortisol and salivary alpha-amylase levels with the behaviour of children undergoing dental treatment. Summary: Behaviour of children can be determined by certain criteria when we apply a behavioral management considering the level of cortisol and amylase.
Majed Almuammar serves as a Consultant in Pediatric Dentistry at King Abdulaziz Medical City within the National Guard in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Previously, he held the position of associate professor at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University. Majed attained his pediatric dentistry qualifications from New York University in July 1996 and received certification from the American Board in Pediatric Dentistry in 2000. Additionally, he became a fellow of the International College of Dentistry in 2007. With seven publications in reputable journals to his name, Majed has contributed significantly to the field. He also served as the director of the residency program at National Guard in the central region from 2000 to 2011. Over the years, he has been actively involved in administration, holding roles such as divisional head in pediatric dentistry and Orthodontics departments, and participating in various committees. Majed has been a sought-after speaker at numerous international symposiums.
