Abstract :

Separation techniques are key operations in phosphate industry, especially for phosphate rock benificiation and phosphoric acid production. The most commonlly used techniques evolved solid/liquid separation, particles/gas separation, liquid/ gas and liquid/liquid separation. The first part of conference will be an overview of separation techniques and technologies used in phosphate industry. In the second part of the presentation author will share a pilot results for two techniques that will be introduced to the phosphate and phosphoric acid production process which are the centrifuge decantation and azeotropic distillation.
