Child care is the supervision of a child who is within the ages of one day up to the adult age of 18 years. Child care can either be with the biological parents, a child care centre, legal guardian, adoption among other approved care. Over the years, child care has been one of the most difficult but interesting phenomenon and parents dedicate considerable amount of time to care for the children.Ghana is one of the few countries that takes child care very important and give quality upbringing to children within the ages of one to 18 years under the free senior High school and the school feeding programs. Government spend more than half of its yearly budget on child care. The significance of childcare has gain popularity in Ghana and Africa at large. Few among them are, 1. Childcare promote good bond between parents and the child. When parents willingly care for their child and provide most of their needs, it promote good bond and good social living between the parents and the children. 2. Addition to that, child care enlighten children to learn good deeds from the parents and helps them to cultivate goods habits as they grow. World health Organization, has advised parents should engage their children in all spheres of life, so they can cultivate proper habits as they grow. 3. Also, child care is a sources of joy to most parents and the community at large. Community grows as we give offspring to the society. We multiplied as we give birth, so community get increased as we give birth, so this brings joy and happiness to most community and promote economic bomb. 4. In addition, childcare makes parents and organizations responsible as the child are put in their absolute care. Over the years, the government of the republic of Ghana, has passed child protection care law, where all children are taken care by responsible parenting and institution. Failure to exhibits proper care in child upbringing, government may take ownership of the child. 5. Moreover, child care instil a sense of discipline to parents and child care companies and institution. Child care makes parents to be discipline as the child copies almost everything within him or her. So in general, child care or children care is an interesting phenomenon and promote joy and happiness to parents, institution and even government.
