Dr. Ami R Patel is working as Assistant Professor at Mansinhbhai Institute of Dairy and Food Technology affiliated with Kamdhenu University, Gujarat State, India. She has received her doctorate in Dairy Microbiology from Anand Agricultural University, Anand (Gujarat) in the year 2012. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as: Vice chancellor gold medal in PhD, selected as BiovisinNxt fellow to attend conference at Lyon, France (2011) and granted Erasmus Mundus scholarship from EU in 2009. She is engaged with teaching UG students and in research. She is serving as an expert Reviewer for journals like Journal of International Medical Research, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, Food Research International, Aperito Journal of Bacteriology, Virology and Parasitology and Current Research in Agricultural Sciences. She has authored 15 peer reviewed articles. She is a member of Indian Dairy Association (IDA) and SASNET-fermented foods.
Isolation & characterization of novel lactic acid bacteria (LAB), probiotic potential and antimicrobial activities of LAB, formulation of dairy and food with probiotics-beneficial microbes, prebiotics & mixture of their off, production of exopolysaccharides-food and health application.
