Dr. Ubong, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering received his Doctor of Technology (1989) and Ph.D. (1985) in Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. He received his M.Sc. (1977) in Internal Combustion Engines from Peoples' Friendship University, Moscow. His current research interests are in the development of low and high temperature PEM fuel cells and the use of alternative fuels in Internal Combustion Engines, with several publications to his credit. His research at Helsinki University focused on the use of high viscosity fuels in high-speed diesel engines, the use of alternative fuels and multi-fuel engine development.
