Dr. Jinda Fan is currently working at Assistant Professor, Division of Advanced Medical Imaging Research, University of Alabama at Birmingham, US. His research interest focus on development of radiotracers for imaging of cancer diseases, brain disorders and cardiovascular illnesses using positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computational tomography (SPECT). He is serving as an honorary reviewer for Journal of Molecular Imaging & Dynamics. He has authored of several research articles/books related to Dr. Fan's research interests focus on development of radiotracers for imaging of cancer diseases, brain disorders and cardiovascular illnesses using positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computational tomography (SPECT).
Dr. Fan's research interests focus on development of radiotracers for imaging of cancer diseases, brain disorders and cardiovascular illnesses using positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computational tomography (SPECT). These developed radiotracers are employed in both preclinical and clinical research for disease diagnosis, treatment assessment, surgery evaluation and drug development. The tracer development is an interdisciplinary process including organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, radiopharmaceutical chemistry, in vitro evaluation, in vivo validation, and translation to clinical studies.
