Biography

Dr Jose C. Jimenez-Lopez was awarded a PhD degree in Plant Science by the National Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) in 2008. Soon after, he moved to Purdue University (USA) to start with his postdoctoral research in Plant Biology until 2011. From 2012 until date, he is working as Marie Curie Research Fellow and Principal Investigator (PI) of a Grant/Project funded by the European Research program Marie Curie in the frame of a collaborative endeavour between The University of Western Australia and CSIC (Spain).

Dr Jimenez-Lopez is co-inventor of 3 Patents, and has co-authored 15 book chapters and 35 articles in international peer-reviewed journals in the fields of plants proteins biochemical, proteomics, computational biology, Plant cell physiology, plant molecular biology, pollen/food allergy. In addition, he has presented his research accomplishments in 46 international conferences, and currently is an active member of 7 international scientific societies, such as The Protein Society, The American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB), The Australian Society of Plant Scientists (ASPS), The European Societies of Microscopy (EMS), among others.

Dr Jimenez-Lopez is serving as scientific editor of book editorials as Nova Science Publisher Inc., InTech - Open Access Publisher in Science, and as peer-review board member of international reputed journals like Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, PLoS One, Proteomics Insights, Molecular Biology Reports, International Journal of Genomics, International Journal of Computational Biology and Drug Design, Journal of Allergy & Therapy, Bioinformatics and Biology Insights, among many others.
