Molecular and Cellular Biology
San Raffaele Vita-Salute University
Italy
Dr. Simone Gallo obtained his master degree in Biology at "A. Avogadro" University of the Eastern Piedmont (Alessandria, Italy) in 2010. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from San Raffaele Vita-Salute University (Milan, Italy). He is working in the laboratory of Prof. Stefano Biffo at INGM (National Institute of Molecular Genetics, Milan, Italy) where he studies regulation of protein synthesis initiation in mammals, in vitro and in vivo. Specific scientific interests are focused on investigating molecular mechanisms by which protein synthesis may affect tumorigenesis, focusing on the role of the protein RACK11,2. He is a reviewer for Journal of Proteomics & Bioinformatics. He is a junior member of ABCD (Association of Cellular and Developing Biology, Milan, Italy).
