Dr. Xiyuan Chen is currently with Southeast University as a professor of the School of Instrument Science and Engineering. He received his Ph.D. degree from Southeast University in 1998, and his M.S. degree from Hefei University of Technology in 1995, and his B.Sc degree from Lanzhou University of Technology in 1990. He went to Poleticnic di Turino , Italy as visiting researcher during 2005 to 2006 with a scholar fellowship funded by Joint European-Asian educational and Application De-velopment Program on GALILEO(JEAGAL).He went to North Carolina State University as a senior visiting researcher with a scholar fellowship funded by China Scholarship Council (CSC) in 2009. His research expertise and interests are in the areas of inertial navigation and integrated navigation and GPS software receiver and wireless location technologies, weak-signal GNSS, hybrid navigation and related application. He holds twenty invention patents, and is author or contributing author of more than 120 technical papers, reports. He is currently vice chairman of the Chinese Shipping Instrument Society and Secretary General in Jiangsu Measurement and Control Society.He is also IEEE senior member. He received the New Century Excellent Talents in University Award from the Ministry of Education, China, in 2006 and the Six Peak Talents Foundation Award in Jiangsu Province ( No:2008143 ) in 2008.
