DoD Security

DoD is known as department of defense in United States .It contains a federal security agency called defense security service.The DoD uses advanced traffic system.The DoD directive assings oversight responsibilities for DoD information management activities to the assistant secretary of defense for networks and information integration . It has established and reissued policies of management of department of defense information enterprise.It provides direction on creating an information advantage for DoD personnel and mission partners and establishing defining roles for CIOs at various levels with in the department of defense . The DoD networks must be defended from a wide range of attacks .DoD faces the same range of threats prevalent on the internet including attacks by sophisticated hackers and organized crime.
