Geological Rock

In geology rock is a naturally occurring solid aggregate of one or more minerals or mineraloids. The common rock granite is a combination of the quartz, feldspar and biotite minerals. There are three major groups of rocks: Igneous rocks, Sedimentary rocks and Metamorphic rocks. Petrography is a rock identification process, which uses concise, accurate descriptions of physical characterstics of rocks.
