Hypohidrosis also called as absent sweating is characterised by diminished sweating. This is due to the damage in sensory nerves and improper response to acceptable stimuli. It is highly difficult to diagnose because the mild symptoms goes un-noticed.
Hypohidrosis may be caused by drugs, especially those with anticholinergic properties.It is also caused by diabetic neuropathy and a variety of congenital syndromes.
