Joints may be classified functionally based upon how much movement they allow like- synarthrosis, amphiarthroses, Diarthroses. Joints may also be classified structurally based upon what kind of material is present in the joint such as Fibrous joints, Cartilaginous joints, synovial joint. There are many different classes of synovial joints in the body, including gliding, hinge, saddle, and ball and socket joints.
There are 5 types of bones in the human body. These are long bones, short bones, flat bones, irregular bones and sesmoid bones.
