Polymer chemistry is a branch of chemistry that deals with the chemical structure, synthesis & physical properties of polymers and macromolecules. 

Polymer chemistry finds applications in polymer science, nanotechnology, analytical and physical chemistry.

Various techniques are used for synthesis of polymers. For example : Free-radical polymerization, Ionic polymerization, Polycondensation,  Polyaddition, Protein Biosynthesis etc.
