Priapism is a persistent, painful erection that lasts for around four hours; without any sexual stimulation. Low flow (Blood gets trapped in the erection chambers) and High flow (Condition where there is a rupture in the artery due to an injury to the penis) are the two categories of Priapism. Anaemia and prolonged use of antidepressants are the common causes.
