Skin Biology

Skin biology is the study of physiology, morphology and anatomy of skin. Skin serves as the protective layer that protects the body from environmental insults. Skin biology deals with the mechanisms of skin development, molecular interactions among skin cells, skin disorders and injury.

Skin biology provides an understanding of the mechanisms of skin development and the molecular interactions within and between skin cells and other cell types which can enhance the possibility of skin engineering.
