Dr. Maxim Dobretsov has received his PhD in Physiology in Saint-Petersburg State University (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) during the period of 1983-1986. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor in University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (Little Rock, USA). He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as a member of the Abstract and Organizational Committees of the 6th Annual Conference of the International Society for the Prevention of Tobacco Induced Diseases (Little Rock, 2007) and the editor of the book “Mechanisms of Pain in Peripheral Neuropathy” (Research Signpost, 2009). He is serving as a post-hoc reviewer of several reputed journals like Brain, Journal of Physiology, Neuroscience etc. He has authored 40 research articles and 6 review articles and book chapters. He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience (since 1999), American Diabetes Association (since 2004), Peripheral Nerve Society (since 2009) and International Association for the Study of Pain (since 2011).
