Dr. Moataz El-Husseiny is currently working as a Specialist Registrar in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the University College London Hospitals. He is also currently undertaking an MD (Res) at UCL, which focuses on Covalently bonding proteins to titanium alloys to enhance cell growth and adhesion. Both Stanmore Implants Worldwide (SIW) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) are funding his research. Moataz graduated from Cairo University in 1999 and completed his orthopaedic residency for three year in El-Helal Hospital, the centre of excellence in Trauma and Orthopaedics, in Cairo, Egypt. He then decided to pursue further training in the United Kingdom. He completed his MRCS in February 2006 and obtained the Certificate of Completion of Basic Surgical Training in April 2006.
