Haoyang Wang received Ph.D. degree in 2006, June at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC) and get his associate professor position in SIOC. Early in his career, he established a static headspace/SPME (solid phase micro-extraction) GC-ion trap MS and even chemical ionization method for profiling volatiles. Later He complete his doctoral dissertation in mass spectrometric group of Prof. Yin-Long Guo in SIOC about studying of the gas phase reactions of 2-pyrimidinyloxy-N-arylbenzyl-amine herbicides by FT-ICR (Fourier transformation ion cyclotron resonance)-MS. In 2006 July, He joined research group of Prof. Jürgen O. Metzger at University Oldenburg in Germany to study the mechanism of Ru-catalyzed olefin metathesis reactions by mass spectrometry. Now, his interests involve studying organic chemistry and analytical chemistry by modern mass spectrometry, which applied the mass spectrometric skills and strategies to provides practical solution to analysis target organic molecule in complex samples concerning pharmaceutical and analytical problems and to study the mechanisms of organic transformation processes in solution or in gas phase.
